How do I rent a bike?
You can go through our website, or feel free to contact our Oak Mountain location (205-987-4043) and we will be more than happy to reserve you a bike.
Do you rent E-Mtn Bikes?
Yes, we do rent E-Bikes. We have a variety of sizes in carbon and alloy framesets.
What does my rental come with?
Every rental bike includes pedals, a repair kit, a bottle cage, and a helmet. At times extra helmets may not be available. It’s best to bring your own if possible. We have Shimano SPD, Crank Brothers, and flat pedals available. Just let us know in the rental form.
Do you transport the bikes to the park?
No, we have a couple of hitch racks as well as a tailgate pad for pickup trucks that you can rent. Your car MUST have a 2” hitch receiver to work with our racks.
Are there trails nearby?
Yes, Oak Mountain State Park is 2 miles down the road. Although we have several other parks that are not too far from us. Check out the rides page on our website for several other surrounding trail systems.
Can I rent a bike for a half day?
All of our rentals are 24 hour rentals.
What if my rental bike is muddy?
We ask to please bring the bike back reasonably clean. Most trail systems have a bike wash that you can spray the bike down with. If not, we have a hose at the back of the store that you are welcome to use. Otherwise there will be a $25 cleaning fee.
What if I bring the bike in late?
Bikes brought in late will result in an additional day charge per bike.
Can I rent a bike today?
Absolutely! If we have availability. But it’s best if you can reserve at least 24 hours in advance. Also, sometimes E-rentals need time for battery charging.
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing your own riding equipment, water bottle/hydration pack. If you want to install your own comfort accessories additional charges may apply.
Do you give a discount if I rent more than one bike?
No, we charge the same rate per bike that gets rented.
Can I return my rental at any store?
No, rentals must be returned to the store you picked up from.
What does the insurance fee cover?
Rental insurance covers you for all the little things that can happen in mountain biking. Our rental bikes are checked before they leave for proper shifting, braking, dropper post and suspension functionality. We would like it to be returned the same, but we understand that things happen. Therefore if you purchase our insurance you will be covered in the event of things like:
- Flat tires
- Tire damage
- Chain damage
- Derailleur damage
- Pedal damage
- Minor scratches
- Components damage
It does NOT cover:
- Dents or deep scratches in the frame
- Broken frame (unless it is a warranty situation)
- Wheel dents
- Suspension damage (unless it is a warranty situation)
- Any damage from obvious abuse or excessive jumping of the bike
