FAQ

Are these bikes a good deal?

Yes! You can save hundreds and even thousands by purchasing a demo bike. Many have very low miles on them, others have more but they have all been cleaned and re-furbished.  Most are only 1 year old and some are even current models.

Are the bikes refurbished?

Yes, we clean and tune all the bikes that are for sale in the demo fleet. 

Are the parts replaced on the bikes in the demo sale?

Sometimes. If a part is causing the bike to not function properly, the part will be replaced by the Cahaba Cycles team. If the part is partially worn but bike is still functioning well, the part will not be replaced (ex. A chain that has 50% life will not be replaced.)

Can you tell me what service items have been done to each bike?

We have a very large fleet of bikes and all of them have been serviced several times. We do not have itemized lists of all work done to each bike. Sorry. We will do our best to offer our knowledge of a bike’s history if possible. 

Is the warranty on the frame still included?

Santa Cruz, Scott, and Trek frame warranties transfer to the consumer. Santa Cruz includes lifetime replacement on bearings as well. 

Are the parts on the bike still under warranty?

Shimano will honor any (defective, not wear and tear) warranty claims on a demo bike. XTR, and Dura-Ace parts on demo bikes have a 3 year warranty, 105, Ultegra, Deore, etc. have a 2 year warranty, and any generic “Shimano” branded product comes with a 1 year warranty.

Sram/Rock Shox does not cover original parts on demo bikes under warranty in most cases. Some exceptions may occur.

Is Layaway available?

Yes, we require 50% down and the total balance must be paid off within 90 days.

Is Financing available?

Yes, you can apply for financing through Klarna.com for a variety of options

Which store has the demo bikes?

The Oak Mtn store will have the majority of our demo bikes for sale, but the other locations have some too. The list above denotes the store location next to each demo bike.

Will Cahaba install any accessories that I want to purchase? 

Yes! We even will honor our “Buy 5 get 10% off” deal on accessories…and install them for no charge (in most cases)

What is your return policy on demo bikes?

All sales are final on demo bikes. 

How long will the sale last? 

Until they are all gone! But they will go quick so act fast! 

Are the demo bikes listed on your website?

Bikes are listed on the website, for more information & images please reach out to the location listed next to the model. 

Can you ship a demo bike to me?

Yes, we have a secure payment method and we can ship. Additional shipping and handling charges will apply. Call or text us for more information. 

Do you have the serial #’s recorded for all demo bikes?

Yes we do
